Dr. Nancy Kaplan, Consultant

Dr. Nancy Kaplan serves as a Special Advisor in the Office of Institutional Advancement at St. John’s University. Formerly Vice Provost for Academic Engagement and Strategic Partnerships, Dr. Kaplan currently teaches in the College of Professional Studies and has taught in the Graduate School of Education as well. Outside of her responsibilities at St. John’s, Dr. Kaplan advocates for stronger communities as a facilitator for several anti-bias organizations including the Anti-Defamation League and RISE. In addition, in 2018, Dr. Kaplan launched Limitless Learning, LLC. She is a sought-after speaker on issues related to fostering Inclusivity, Belonging and Leadership.
Embedded in the Long Island educational community, Dr. Kaplan serves as a Board of Education Trustee for the Merrick Union Free School District and the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District. She is also a member of the Merrick Kiwanis Club and has coached both basketball and baseball in her community. She also serves as a consultant for UJA helping to build partnerships with suburban school districts in an effort to combat antisemitism. She is married to Lenny Kaplan, a 1988 graduate of St. John’s, who serves as Vice President and Director of Athletics at the New Jersey Institute of Technology. Together, they have two children, Michael and Joshua. |
